Summer Learning Academy

 

All learners exiting grades PK-4 are welcome to join our Summer Learning Academy! The goal is to provide ongoing academic support in a relaxed and nurturing environment, and to limit the effects of summer slide. Research has shown that young students need ongoing instruction over the summer to maintain/increase academic skills. Time will be devoted to math, reading, and writing instruction. Enrollment will be limited per class to allow for daily small group instruction, taught by Concord Road teachers. 

Our Summer Learning Academy will meet at Concord Road Elementary School. The program runs from Monday, June 30th through Friday, July 18th from 7:45 a.m - 11:15 a.m. We will be closed on Friday, July 4th to observe the holiday.  If your child is attending Ardsley Day Camp, there will be a bus to transport students from CRS to Ardsley Day Camp. 

The tuition fee for the program is $800 (which includes a $100 non-refundable registration fee). Checks should be made payable to Ardsley Union Free School District and sent to your child’s teacher, labeled with your child’s name on it and “Summer Learning Academy.” Questions should be directed to either Mary Jane Amato mamato@ardsleyschools.org or Theresa Connelly tconnelly@ardsleyschools.org.
