In April and May, third and fourth students at Concord Road Elementary School will be taking standardized tests in English language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics. Both the ELA and Mathematics exams will be administered in two sessions on two consecutive school days. Testing dates for Concord Road Elementary School are below:
- English Language Arts (ELA) Exam: April 11, 2024 and April 12, 2024
- Mathematics Exam: May 8, 2024 and May 9, 2024
The purpose of the exam is to measure student's knowledge and skills as defined by the grade-level New Yoirk State Next Generation Learning Standards (NGLS) in ELA and Mathematics. The ELA exam consists of 1-credit multiple-choice questions, 2-credit constructed-response questions, and 4-credit (Grade 4 only) constructed-response questions. The Mathematics exam consists of 1-credit multiple-choice and 1-, 2-, and 3-credit constructed-response questions.
The average time to complete the exams ranges from 60-80 minutes for ELA and 55-70 minutes for Mathematics. Please know students will have as much time as they need each day to answer the questions in the test sessions within the confines of the regular school day.
