Igniting a passion for creativity and self-expression

The Concord Road Elementary School K-4 Visual Arts program is designed to ignite a passion for creativity and self-expression. Through a combination of hands-on activities, guided instruction, and exploration of various art mediums, the curriculum aims to nurture each child's artistic abilities and foster their confidence as budding artists.

Students learn basic drawing techniques and learn to utilize the Elements of Art and Principles of Design in their work. They develop the skills that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and cultural awareness through exposure to diverse art forms and artists from around the world.

Through engaging lessons and collaborative projects, we strive to instill a lifelong appreciation for the arts and inspire students to see the world through a creative lens. Each art class cultivates a positive and encouraging environment where creativity flourishes and every artist's unique vision is celebrated. As a result, artwork is routinely displayed within the school building to celebrate our artists accomplishments.
