Music

Ardsley has a rich history of strong music programs.  At Concord Road School, we are committed to carrying on that tradition by nurturing a love for music in all our students.

At Concord Road School, we are committed to carrying this tradition forward by nurturing a love for music in all our students. Our goal is to help our students appreciate and comprehend the transformative power of music in our lives. We also aim to develop their skills as performers and to help them understand and value their role as members of an audience.

Music teaches students how to work cooperatively with one another, how to listen to and respect one another, and how to constructively critique themselves and others. Music also allows students to develop a deeper understanding of who they are, how to communicate with others, and how to work conscientiously and consistently to produce a work of quality.

The music faculty firmly believes that music must play a central role in a child's well-being and development.  For this reason, the Music staff is readily available and always eager to encourage and support each student's music needs and endeavors.
