Kindergarteners Celebrate Fall with a Pumpkin Decorating Tradition

Kindergarteners Celebrate Fall with a Pumpkin Decorating Tradition

The kindergarten classrooms were full of excitement as students invited their pals — parents and friends — to join them for a festive pumpkin decorating session! The event combined creativity and community, giving students the chance to share the joy of fall while also practicing important fine motor and communication skills.

One student, Jaxon, and his family even made a special trip to the pumpkin patch to pick the perfect pumpkin for the day’s craft. “I made a mouth and eyes, and I’m going to put it outside my door,” he proudly shared.

For teacher Ms. Werner, this event holds a special place in the heart of the kindergarten experience. “This has been a tradition forever, for as long as I’ve been here,” she said. “It’s something that gets more exciting every year.”

Parents also look forward to the day as much as the students. James, Michael’s dad, summed it up best: “I wouldn’t have missed this for the world.”

The annual pumpkin decorating event continues to bring smiles, spark creativity, and strengthen the bonds between students, families, and teachers, a true celebration of the season.
